Maryland Men’s Lacrosse Advances to NCAA Title Game

Maryland men’s lacrosse has secured a spot in the 2025 NCAA Championship Game after a dominant 14-8 victory over Syracuse in the semifinals. The Terrapins will face No. 1 seed Cornell in the title match on May 26 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Maryland’s defense was the key to their semifinal win, holding Syracuse scoreless for nearly 27 minutes while capitalizing on turnovers. Eric Spanos led the attack with four goals, while goalkeeper Logan McNaney recorded 14 saves, ensuring the Terps maintained control throughout the game.

Cornell, known for its high-powered offense, will be a tough opponent. The Big Red have scored double-digit goals in every game this season, making this championship matchup one of the most anticipated in recent history.
